Volunteers Complete Program

A group of 4 female volunteers who arrived in Ghana on the 27th of December to work with Peace Humanity have successfully completed their volunteer work and returned home. During their ten day stay, the volunteers worked on the construction of a community library at Jukwa in the Central Region of Ghana. They helped in plastering, and painting of walls under the supervision of skilled men and in the company of some community members.
They also contributed money to make tables for the library which will be used by students when we get library books for the shelves which have also been constructed.
During the stay, they lived with host families which provided them with meals and accommodation. The practice of living with host families help reduce cost so that volunteers can afford to experience new culture in Ghana whilst also contributing to a worthy course.

Meanwhile a group of 11 people who are all above 50 years will be arriving from the US to interact with Peace Humanity International from 7-9th February, 2014.
During the 3-day stay, they will visit PHI projects, learn drumming and dancing, and also visit tourist sites like the slave castles in Cape Coast and Elmina, Kakum National Park and the Canopy Walkway and many others. A night of bomb fire will be organised for them before their departure
